Bulgarian 2014 trip dates are set: April 24 - May 3 Applications are welcome!

The Western Palearctic BirdID trip to Bulgaria in 2014 will be in the period April 24th-May 3rd. Just as last eyar, we hope to see a great diversity of Eastern European bird specialities. Some of the highlights of the area are Pied Wheatear, Eastern Imperial Eagle, Dalmatian and White Pelicans, Sombre Tit, Pygmy Cormorant and many others.

In 2013 we ticked 225 species. A full list of the birds seen in 2013 can be found here. Programme details are here. To be eligible to apply for the trip you need to have done the formal test and have obtained at least 24 points out of 60 in bird appearance and at least 19 point out of 60 in bird sounds. Please register for the formal test.
